First Annual Sallis Homecoming will be Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place in downtown Sallis. Click to enlarge At 10:02 am ACSO responded to a one vehicle accident on Industrial Park Road, approximately 1/2 mile from Hwy 43. Upon arrival Deputy Keith Cummins found that a 1994 Chevy had left the road spinning around and hitting a light pole with the rear of the vehicle. The driver had left the scene. AudioAudio2 Soon after the driver came back to the location advising that he needed an ambulance. Audio MedStat transported one male, approximately 40 to 45 years of age, to Montfort Jones ER complaining of head pain. No lacerations or abrasions were noted. Click to enlarge At 10:59 pm MedStat, ACFD, ACSO and Park Rangers were called to a report of a one vehicle accident on the Natchez Trace behind Best Western. Audio ACFD arrived on scene at 11:06 and advised that there was no entrapment. Audio MedStat checked the patient but she was not transported to Montfort Jones. We have been working on the backup site for KOL in case our main server is down for any reason. This site "Should" mirror KOL's site. The only thing is if anything, comments or whatever, is added to it then it will not be carried over to the main server. All data runs from KOL to it. We still have some work to do but the main part is finished. The news will be sent over every 30 minutes and a full news backup (new photos) every 90 minutes with a full site backup everyday at 4 am. We may run into some issues and if you look in you may see that the site is up and down as well continue our work. It is my goal to have a complete functioning backup site. I know I hate when a site is down! The NEW name for our mirror site is Kosy911.com! Thanks to everyone for pitching us ideas! But you know we still can point another name to it also in case someone comes up with another good one :)
Also we are testing a NEW service on it as well. If any one of you are familiar with Gmail, Google E-Mail, then you will know how awesome it is. Well we have set the Kosy911.com email to "run through" GMail. Thats right you can have a Kosy911 account with over 6 Gig of storage and all the features of GMail!! If you are interested please let us know because there are a limited number of email box available to us. This is just another free service to our users! Kosy Online has been considering building a "Mirror" KOL site. What this would allow is if we are down for ANY reason then we would have a backup site located on a different server with the same news and information as KosyOnline.com. We would like to know what you think as well as a suggested . com name for the site. KOLMirror.com? KOLBackup.com? its up to you.
