“The Puddle” written by David McPhail
“What better thing to do on a rainy day than sail your boat in puddles? When the boy asks his mom if he can do just that, she says, “Okay, but you stay out of the puddles.” In rain slicker, hat, and boots, the boy finds the perfect spot for sailing. He isn’t left along for long, however. And the unusual strangers he meets make his day a lot more interesting, not to mention wetter, than it might otherwise have been.
